Empire's Edge Cafe Reviews

If I could give them 10 stars I would. Kind, quick and generous service. Delicious, homemade food. They are also clearly a positive force for the community!! Hope they stay in business forever!! Thanks guys.

Fantastic breakfast place as you start a ride up US 40. Excellent coffee. Very tasty breakfast sandwich. Friendly service. You need to know this place is here or you'll drive right by. Worth jumping of I-70 as it's just a minute or two up the road. Highly recommend!

Simply delicious. Small little restaurant with TONS of FLAVOR! Stopped in for some breakfast and coffee on our way West. This is exactly what breakfast should be! The Empire Breakfast Sandwich is delicious and the chipotle aioli took it over the top. No pic cause I scarfed it down so quickly.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Empire's Edge! We pulled off of I-70 on a whim on our drive to Grand Junction and decided to grab something to eat, and this was the first place we saw. Allie and Sarah (I hope I spelled your names correctly!) were so kind and so helpful in helping my husband and I decide what to order. We got the Breakfast Burrito with chorizo and the chicken quesadilla, and split them. You can get a green chile sauce for the burrito, we chose to get it on the side. It's an add on, and well worth it. I also got a tres leches latte and we split a snickerdoodle cookie as well. Everyone is so friendly, and Sarah made sure to remind us to drink plenty of water, since we're not used to the altitude. Stop here to eat, stay for the kindness! Cute, family friendly place to grab a bite to eat, play a game, and have conversation.

Huge menu, and most everything seems to be made from scratch. I was here with my 6 year old who wanted some chips with his quesadilla. They sell bagged chips, but that's not what my son had in mind. The chef spontaneously offered that he would just make my son some tortilla chips. Amazing service. They also have a ton of board games. If you need to wait out some gnarly traffic, this is a good option.

Another great Independent breakfast joint!... I had the bacon breakfast sandwich on ciabatta bread. It's also slathered with Chipotle aioli.. a nice touch! Friendly service, good coffee, and right off the highway if you're going to Summit County...

If you are on your way to ski in Breck, Loveland or Vail and you are craving coffee and a solid Colorado brunch, make the quick detour to Empire. Very chill, local vibe here. The breakfast burrito is fire, and definitely something you can split if you are a smaller than average human.

Forgot to tell you: Call them up when you're 15-20 minutes away and put in your order. They don't charge your card until you arrive. (Isn't it nice to be trusted by someone you don't know:). And you can drive up and off with one of their delicious breakfast sandwiches. Make sure to ask them to slice it in two if you're sharing since those babies are messy-delicious. Still a steal of a deal for the sausage breakfast sandwich on foccocia with aioli / egg / cheese. $10 serves the both of you an organic, scrumptious, meal!

Clean restaurant and restrooms at the Edge of the town of Empire. Very large portions on our breakfast burritos, stuffed with all the goodies, mostly egg and bacon laced with cheddar and potato inside. We had ours smothered with green chili which was mild, so we took advantage of the tapatio hot sauce on the table! My chai latte was very good also, a nice pick-me-up for our drive over Berthoud pass to kick start the weekend! This place has been owned by a couple of people, but I've noticed that it is open more often now, and that makes it more predictable for a stop!! Check it out!!

Heading back home from Winter Park and we found this gem on our way down to I70. Ordered a bacon breakfast burrito and hands down was so good! Fresh potatoes and bacon with eggs and cheese toasted tight in a flour tortilla. Add a side of green salsa and you're in heaven. Also ordered a Mocha Latte and it hit the spot. Both guys provided excellent customer service and the atmosphere felt like you were part of the town. Whether you're driving up to Winter Park or heading back from the slopes, stop by Empire's Edge for some great comfort food!
